CareerOne Profile - Work History

Luke Hayes  - CareerOne.com Profile and Work History

Brisbane, 4509, Queensland, Australia

OBJECTIVE:

To share my work history and life experiences which have lead me to become the person I am today. I am also attempting to share the progression of my vision from the desire to build my own business, into what it has become today - A transitional system for the world and humanity to change from it's current collision course with the collapse of our population due to our destruction of the environment, into an infinite future of sustained peace, prosperity and balance.

Ideally I would like this document to help people understand me better and lead to collaboration with Global NFPO's and philanthropists to implement my designs for a Global Disaster Mitigation Network, a Global Self-Directed Learning Network, a Global Skill Map of Society and the many other community scale systems for increasing access to quality, minimize waste and sharing ideas. On the journey towards this I seek to gain further skills in leadership roles where I can help as many people as possible to reach their dreams and access a better life while still being able to support myself.

I have had the good fortune to gain a wide variety of work experience over the years as you can see below. This has enabled me to analyse and learn from many managers and owners, in many industries who have successfully created, grown and sustained businesses. Building on this 11 years of experience, over the past 4 years I became an information sponge and specifically tailored my learning to create and manage global organisations and movements by acquiring free information over the internet from some of the worlds most renowned universities including Harvard, Melbourne, M.I.T, Monash, Stanford, Wharton, Yale and others. I have strong skills in social media, mass communication, question thinking, business development, leadership, negotiation, complex systems analysis and design, all facets of marketing and utilizing new technologies to cross pollinate other industries and markets.

WORK EXPERIENCE

Usually one would start with the most recent work history but for this one I will start at the beginning of my working life and then move through to the present. Be warned, I've worked in a lot of roles, this doesn't even include all of them. I just thought I would leave out the positions which lasted for less than 1 month.

Founder
May 2009 - June 2010
Creating Attraction
Education

Since 2001 I had been analyzing and improving business concepts under every employer I had worked but Creating Attraction was my first completely original business design. It's focus was web education on self improvement to help people find the right partner for them.

Creating Attraction was an idea that I developed into a business format after going through the Government Sponsored Certificate 4 in Small Business Establishment and Management in June 2009. On top of my work experience in many small businesses, I already had a working knowledge of affiliate marketing, social media, online dating, online sales and knew that it was fast becoming the next big thing on the Australian Dating Scene.

More and more people were flocking to the internet to find information about interests and partners who had the same interests. I put 1 + 1 together and saw a window of opportunity. I had no resources at all to spend so the going was slow. $500 per fortnight from the government was hard to live on after earning in excess of $1300 per week in the mines. It did however give me lots of time to learn.

So, learn I did. I had no web development experience so that was a big learning curve. Understanding hooks and links and coding (still not good at coding) as well as how to lay out articles, buttons and colors to suit the behaviors of my Australian 18-40 year old audience. Understanding the audience led me to immerse myself in resources related to psychology, NLP, human physiology, dating advice, body language, personal hygiene, conversation, communication, love languages and study after study after study.

Because I was finding it hard to force myself to learn the technical coding of multiple computer languages I looked for a shortcut and purchased a website template and edited it as best I could. Occasionally I had to resource some help from a friend or 2 with skills in that department who would charge me a carton of beer. Other than coding I can now fluently design layouts and site maps of websites and phone apps on paper for fine functionality and ease of navigation for any audience. To this day, Coding and Graphic Design are the two biggest holes in my game. I will overcome this one day. Timing is everything.

Anyway I got a job with Australia post driving trucks and kept learning and developing. Left that for a job with Kirby Vacuum sales to improve my communication and understanding of people when I was out of my comfort zone and in theirs. Asked heaps of questions not related to Kirby which is probably why I sold so many Vacuums. Left them, got another delivery job for Viande and also got involved with Amway, so I implemented much of the Amway system into Creating Attraction.

Decided to promote putting 30% of the revenue into a community building fund that members could collaboratively decide how to direct themselves. Designed a cool system for people to to organise community meetings and get things done and finally put the website online for the world to see.

Then I went down to Sydney to visit my oldest brother who was both highly respected or resented in our family for being the only one to have made it in the cut throat business world. After a weekend in Sydney my world had collapsed and I took the website offline, despite my belief that I had done a great job and the site would have worked and made money. I had to design something bigger and better to prove my worth. I know now that my work was great and would have been successful had I continued but it wasn't to be. I had made my choice. I still look at the website now and then and consider what might have been.

Vacuum Cleaner Salesman

July 2009 - September 2009
The Kirby Sales Company Inc.
In Home Sales and Demonstrations

I took this job because it would polish my negotiation skills, customer service, salesmanship and confidence when encroaching on another persons territory. It was a big culture shock and put me outside my comfort zone. Door knocking, phone calls, lead generating, house calls, cleaning, vacuum cleaner sales and business development. It also exposed me to the owner's extensive library of self improvement books, CD's and DVD's including my favorite book which I recommend to anyone who wants to start down the path of global thinking:
The Magic of Thinking BIG - David J Schwartz (Link to Amazon)

Warehouse Manager and Delivery Driver
September 2009 - November 2010
Viande Fine Foods
Warehousing and Deliveries

I took this job because I could listen to my uni lectures, seminars, audio books and conferences while I was earning money. Receiving goods, sending goods, coordinating delivery drivers and couriers, warehouse maintenance, delivery driving, maintaining strong relationships with restaurant head chefs and kitchen staff, rotating stock and ordering stock.

Founder
January 2010 - November 2010
Community Meats
Food and Beverage Production

Community Meats utilized my new knowledge of the Australia wholesale meat industry which I gained working for Viande Fine Foods. I analysed inefficient systems at multiple wholesalers and supermarkets to create a business plan for a cooperative home delivery market that would fit nicely in with Amway.

I spent almost a year researching and developing this system to give people more skills, knowledge and higher quality meat than they would ever get from the supermarket, and all at a cheaper price. Community Leverage was my real passion, this was just me honing my skills in a new industry and expanding my global design thinking and system design skills.

I went so far as to analyse electric vehicles, use solar and hydrogen power to run them and charge them, designed learning and communications strategies using network marketing and new digital methods. The only problem was I wasn't passionate about it. This is another side project that will get developed when I find the right people to implement it.

Founder
May 2010 - November 2010
ASHDN
Retail and Merchandising

ASHDN is short for Automated Secure Home Delivery Network. This concept came along simultaneously with the Community Meats, Amway and Community Leverage Business Plans. It filled a major gap in home delivery that still years later no one has addressed satisfactorily.

Basically it is a series of high tech, delivery boxes which can be built into, retrofitted or built next to any home to receive secure home deliveries of anything, even cold perishable items. I designed a framework for electronic key's, security, invoicing, touch pad ordering, automatic ordering and the ability for it to connect with existing global distribution networks such as FedEX or Australia Post. I tried for a month to get interest through a couple of companies but my heart was still with Community Leverage and the Information and Learning Network.

I've still got everything I need to develop this network at the drop of a hat so if someone comes along and wants to develop it or buy it then maybe I'll re-activate that part of my life.

Solar Converter Design Engineer
June 2010 - July 2010
University Project Design - Research and Development
Energy and Utilities

After completing my solar converter course which I downloaded from iTunes U courtesy of Pennsylvania State University in the USA I designed a Solar Concentrating Energy Converter.

This was kind of my release time from the design of other systems and learning. I went over a heap of designs, read up heaps of science magazines and was an avid subscriber of about 5 science and technology audio podcasts which led me to discovering the properties of several new nano-materials. Particularly nano diamond film and nano carbon tubules.

With this information and a couple of bits that I won't disclose here and the specifications and measurements in the solar converter course material I received from Pennsylvania State University and iTunes U, I designed a modular solar concentrator that would in theory focus a 900mm diameter circle of sunlight onto a micro wafer inside a sphere to create direct current and harness the heat.

It was designed to fit inside a 100cm x 100cm x 100cm cube that would secure the device if heavy weather was expected. The roof of the box was reversible and double sided, the top side was solid, the underside was photovoltaic so it would catch the ambient sunlight missed by the focusing lense. I never tried to produce it because the world wants cost effective products not highly effective engineering craftsmanship. I will revisit this design in the future when I have resources available and a few contacts in the nano industry to play around with some of the different wafer concepts.

Founder
August 2010 - January 2011
Community Leverage
Access to Quality Goods, Information and Learning Systems

The Community Leverage business concept was my effort to combine all of the work I had done with Creating Attraction, Community Meats, ASHDN and Amway into one Large business, the result of 15 months of research and development. It then continued to evolve towards a global organisational design, culminating in a framework which would facilitate open access to the worlds finest information for everyone, no matter where in the world they lived, how much money they had or what level of technology they could access.

At first it was about creating a global, multi-billion dollar a year business, just because I knew that I could and to show all of those who criticized me that ANYONE, CAN do ANYTHING if they have persistence, creativity and resourcefulness. Then over time it evolved to become all about positive change for the survival of our planet and humanity because the global scene was progressively getting worse and worse.

I used my knowledge of Amway, Usana, Mona Vei, Kirby, Google, Microsoft, Facebook, Napster, Apple iTunes, mobile phones, internet, social media and global trend forecasting to design a system for the delivery of high quality information to any community in the world. On top of the Community Meats, Amway and ASHDN business models. I wrote several comprehensive business plans for varying investment amounts which include many revenue models, statistics, role descriptions, communication and training methods, mission statement, marketing, method for countering digital discrimination etc.

Essentially I designed it to eclipse the size and capabilities of the largest most innovative, most profitable organisations ever in existence and then use all of the profits to create the positive change that the people want, not what governments and financial institutions want. For 2 reasons I had trouble finding investment.

1: Because I was unwilling to share the profits with greedy investors beyond a non negotiable 10 x initial investment of between $200,000 and $20,000,000

2: Because of the scale and speed of development which I had designed it to evolve. To achieve such growth I had to virtually relinquish control over the entire organisation very quickly, trust the ability of the people working in the organisation and utilize digital media methods for information distribution and real time training and knowledge evolution. This is a concept many business owners cannot handle.

So I kept honing the design of the system, making contacts and networking to try and find the right individual or organisational fit for the project until the QLD Floods of 2011 when everything changed. Community Leverage was about to transform into a Global Disaster Mitigation Network.

Founder
January 2011 - present
MyRecovery Global Disaster Mitigation
Nonprofit Charitable Organization

After the QLD Floods in early 2011 I decided that Disaster Mitigation was the same problem I had been working to fix for the last 14 months - Information Access and Education Systems. I saw the world needed a better system so I started designing one using my previous system Community Leverage as a basis for the distribution of knowledge, training and self-organising communities. In the changeover I decided to shelve the plans for Community Meats, ASHDN and Creating Attraction and focus on what was more urgent.

MyRecovery in 2012 is the result of 4 years of my passionate work on systems designs. In it's entirety it is a network framework that will enable people from all walks of life to self organise, share information, mitigate future disasters, coordinate during and after disasters, collaborate to solve problems and distribute resources much more effectively and efficiently than any other system on the planet can facilitate.

I have established high level business and personal relationships within many strategic organisations and I am 2 degrees of separation to many world leaders past, present and future in the areas of business, finance, mining, not for profit, governance, royalty and military. These connections have taken a number of years to create and when the time is right I will activate these connections to meet and work with these world leaders.

Disaster Mitigation is on everyone's mind in some form or another, so is global governance, so is the state of the global monetary system, so is education, so is poverty, famine and disease. The cost of inaction is exponentially increasing and now people are starting to open their eyes to new approaches and scientific reasoning. MyRecovery is a platform that can facilitate people from all walks of life, collaborating together in person and across the digital divide to solve the worlds largest problems.

Due to my significant effort in research and development I can now connect and converse with any person at any level on many topics related to my framework design and the reality of the world we live in. I can also lead them towards information which will open their minds and cause them to ask questions and seek more information.

The network is at an important stage of development now where the web platform must be finalized and then distribution of the system can begin in earnest. I have designed it in such a way that the people of the world will build the network themselves on top of the framework which itself is malleable and designed to learn and to evolve over time.

But MyRecovery is only really the beginning. In 2011 I met my partner Arielle Yaffe who is also a global systems designer and founder of Lynx Destiny Infinity - Global Solutions. Her systems, of which there are many, will take the lead in creating an infinite future for our planet and humanity. There is also a large number of smaller community focused systems which we have designed together since we met. These systems will help people in any culture, with any level of access to technology, to expand on what they know and love to make the world a better place.
